From the Head of the valley in Gsiesertal Valley – St. Magdalena 1465 m, (refreshment stop, paid parking), follow trail No. 12 over the bridge. Turn left, then left again after the Schlosser Hof before turning right onto the old cattle drive. Near Burgerhof, cross the Pfoibach bridge and follow the forest road through the woods. Small clearings offer stunning views of the valley and the towering peaks of the Fanes-Senes-Braies Nature Park. After another stream crossing and alpine meadows, take the left fork (trail No. 12a) to reach the Uwald Alm 2042 m. Refreshment stop.
