a) Starting from the parish church in Gsiesertal Valley – St. Magdalena (1398 m), walk along the forest road through the Köfler Tal valley uphill following trail marker No. 47. Upon reaching the crossroads, turn right and follow the forest road with trail marker No. 48 through the forest to the Tscharnietalm (1976 m, no refreshments available). Still following trail marker No. 48 to the next junction, turn left and follow trail marker No. 48 to the Kalkstein Jöchl (2349 m). From this point on, walk on the Bonner Höhenweg (lane No. 12) that leads eastward and leads across steep slopes southward to Pfanntörl (2511 m). From this point either follow trail No. 25 to the Bonnerhütte hut (2340 m, refreshment and overnight stay possible) or choose the descent directly from the Corno Fana of Toblach.

b) Trail No. 44 leads from Gsiesertal Valley – St. Martin, tourist information office through the Verselltal valley to the Randlhütte hut (1862 m, refreshment possibility), the Tolder Hütte Hut (1942 m, refreshment possibility) to the Gruberlenke (2487 m). Then to the Gaishörndl (2615 m) to the Pfanntörl. Here trail No. 25 starts, leading to the Bonnerhütte Hut (2340 m, possibility of refreshments and overnight stay).

c) Drive from Toblach to the Kandellen farmhouse through the Silvestertal Valley (1595 m). The farmhouse is near the Seiter restaurant and parking is available. Walking on a narrow road, past the small Kandellen church, the Bergrast restaurant and the Hofer farm and following the trail marker No. 25 through the Golfental you will reach the Bonnerhütte hut (2340 m, refreshment and overnight stay possible).

The starting point of the hike is located in St. Magdalena or in St. Martin in the Gsiesertal Valley.
