From the Gsiesertal Valley – St. Magdalena, Head of the valley (1465 m, refreshment possibility, parking fee) follow the G markings along forest trail No. 49 to the Messnerhütte hut (1660 m, refreshment possibility), Kradorfer Alm (1704 m, refreshment possibility), Oberbergalm (1975 m, refreshment possibility) and to the Gsieser Törl (2205 m). From there take the new route of the Shepherds' and Hunters' Trail No. 49 to the Hochkreuz mountain (2739 m). The descent is via trail No. 12 through the Pfoital valley to the Talschlusshütte hut.
