In Taisten, follow the village road uphill towards the parish church and Hotel Alpen Tesitin. There, turn right towards Guggenberg and follow the forest road to the next junction. At this junction, turn left, pass the Berggasthof Mudler and, after a narrow right-hand bend, reach a paid parking area. From the parking area, follow the forest road marked no. 31 in a westerly direction. After the first bend, take a steep, somewhat bumpy path on the left to reach the higher forest road directly. Cross this road and then follow the red-white markings as well as trail marker no. 31. This route is known for its wonderful mountain panorama, and very soon you can already see the summit cross of Lutterkopf (2145m). The tour continues across open alpine terrain. Always following the ridge, after a longer hike you reach a fence with an opening that leads directly down to the Taistner Vorderalm mountain hut (2012m, refreshment stop). However, you continue further to tackle the final ascent to Durakopf (2275m). From the summit, the route leads eastwards down to Klenkboden (2186m) and from there southwards across an extensive alpine meadow to the Taistner Vorderalm mountain hut (2012m, refreshment stop). The way back to the starting point continues along the alpine trail and the toboggan run.

The starting point of the tour is located in Taisten, at the parking lot above the Mudler mountain inn.
