Gailerhof Boutique Hotel B&B Dolomites: a 3-star Superior B&B in a secluded spot at 1,200 m on the edge of the forest above Welsberg (Monguelfo) in Val Pusteria (Puster Valley). Nothing around but meadows, woods and mountains, no through traffic. 13 units: 5 double rooms with large balconies and 8 Suite-Apartments with kitchenette, dining table and balcony, 2 of them with a private Finnish outdoor sauna. Breakfast is included and served to your table between 7:30 and 9:30, on the hour and half hour: regional, fresh, with products from farmers and producers nearby. Double room guests have breakfast in the GustoLounge, on the sun terrace in summer; Suite-Apartment guests have it served in their apartment. Early risers get a breakfast box. The GustoLounge bar with fireplace is open daily from 4 to 9:30 pm, the Honesty Bar around the clock. In summer the panoramic outdoor bathtub is open to all guests. Plus a sunbathing lawn, bike and ski storage, e-MTB rental, free parking and the Südtirol Guest Pass for free buses and trains across South Tyrol. No restaurant, no pool, no spa, no pets. The 1981 building was completely rebuilt in 2018 (hoi°architektur) and has won the German Design Award 2020, the MUSE Design Award 2022 (Gold) and the BIG SEE Architecture Award 2023 for its architecture. The farmstead has been in the family since 1411; Kati and Georg Ploner run the house themselves. Kronplatz (Plan de Corones) and Lago di Braies (Pragser Wildsee) are 15 minutes away by car, Lake Toblach (Lago di Dobbiaco) 10, the 3 Zinnen Dolomites ski area 20, Tre Cime di Lavaredo (Three Peaks) 50 minutes, Welsberg-Gsies railway station (Monguelfo-Casies) 3 km. Check-in 3 to 7 pm, check-out by 10 am.
